Pucci Painting and Refinishing, located in Sonoma, CA, is excited to share a recent project we completed for a new mom, Jolena Helen. She wanted to create the perfect nursery for her new baby girl and we were happy to help bring her vision to life.
Our team used three different colors and three different size stripes to achieve the desired look in the nursery. We also painted the crown molding and installed a chalkboard finish on the lower section of the walls.
One of the tricky parts of this project was applying the stripes. But we have a secret tip to share with you: when laying out your area and setting your first tape line, use the wall color that you placed your tape on and “back paint” the edge. This process will fill in any areas that may bleed under the tape, resulting in a perfect stripe. Once dry, switch to the intended color and paint the stripe. Repeat this process for each color, and you will end up with a look that is similar to wallpaper.
